‘Beyond Normal’ ‘Beyond Normal’ showcases the collective works of local artists Lincoln Lightfoot and Reid Bennington beginning with the exclusive preview on Friday 10^th May 6-9pm and then throughout the following week Sat 11^th-Sun 19^th May from 10am-5pm daily. ‘Beyond Normal’ follows creatures in unusual situations and confronts the absurdity of the now! The exhibition offers a comical style of escapism from everyday problems and promises to be an exciting and enjoyable for art lovers of all ages! Inspired by a love of b-movie poster art Lightfoot depicts unusual happenings staged in well-known settings whilst tapping into the present condition of fear that our news media and politicians perpetuate in a post Covid-19 world. Bennington’s work follows humanoid animal creatures complete with animated expression in comical scenarios.  Illustrations and 3D works fascinate, engage and are oddly relatable. Our York exhibition space is situated on the first floor, accessibly via 2 flights of stairs, of the York Fabrication Retail space, 19 Coney St, York, YO1 9QL, within a 2 minute walk to buses and a 10 minute walk to car parks and to York Railway Station, surrounded by other independent shops, bars and restaurants and in the heart of York City Centre.
