Based on a 3rd-Century book found in Egypt, come make your own leather notebook using historically appropriate methods. Made of leather, and tied shut with multiple ties, this rustic notebook is modelled after the Nag Hammadi Codices. Along the way learn more about the methods used to make this book and how & why they were made the way they are.
This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate YO1 8AS
Access: The class room area is accessed via the Fabrication shop and is located on the ground floor towards the back of the shop space. The shop has two steps up from the street. Inside there are a further two steps from the front of the shop to the back of the shop. Toilets are on the first floor accessed by 2 flights of stairs.
