We are running a number of events throughout the week
Including this indie, vintage and sustainable fashion market, with stalls by local designers, craft destash areas, upcycle and repair dropins across all 3 of our venues.

    Beginners Candle Making Workshop in Leeds city centre

    Sat 29th Mar 2 - 3.30pm Beginners Candle Making Workshop in Leeds city centre. Ideal for anyone new to candle making.  You can enjoy learning how to make your own soy wax candles and tealights.  Working at a relaxed pace and choosing from various aromas you will make 2 x tin container candles and a set of 6 tealights.  These are yours to keep (once they've cured). Workshops are kept small to allow for individual attention, all materials, equipment and tuition are included in the price. On the day all you need to do is turn up and enjoy. Your tutor is Wendy, owner of York based business PQ Soy Wax Candles.  Wendy has over 13 years experience of making candles and wax melts. After the workshop, Wendy will manage the curing and finishing of your candles which will be ready to collect from Fabrication Leeds 83 Briggate 1 week after the workshop. All the products you'll make are suitable for Vegans. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  The workshops last around 1.5 hours with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits.  Please advise of allergen requirements at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.     Jesmonite – Make a set of homewares 2025 Dates: Sat 8th Feb 2.30 - 4.30pm Sat 3rd May 2.30 - 4.30pm During this 2-hour workshop you will be shown step by step, with demo’s, how to create a Jesmonite (non-toxic, eco-friendly, water-based resin) trinket tray, coaster and small pot using Terrazzo, Marbling & Block Colour techniques. You will have the chance to get creative with these techniques and various colours.  At the end of the class, you will have made a pretty set of homewares and as jesmonite is quick to set you can take it straight home with you. £40 per person.  All materials for each process are provided so just turn up and enjoy. No experience needed. You may wish to bring an apron if you want to keep your clothes clean, as it can sometimes be a messy process. Classes are limited to 6 people to allow support to be given where needed. Suitable for age 12+ under 16 to be accompanied by an adult.
