Sunday 1st September 2024 11am-1pm Want to learn how to sculpt with wool? Create a 3D needle felted owl in this fun and relaxing 2hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous. You will learn a variety of needle felting techniques and produce your very own owl to take home. Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Cost is £25 including all materials, equipment and tuition along with tea, coffee, biscuits. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs . Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors.

Sunday 7th April 2024 : 13:30-16:30 £35 a head. Maximum 8 participants. Hot drinks included. Suitable for beginners but some previous craft experience is helpful. Make your own miniature book. All the fun of bookbinding at a fraction of the size. This class will take your through the basics of making a miniature case binding, using book cloth and decorative paper. All materials will be provided but participants are very welcome to bring their own paper to incorporate into their bindings if suitable. Create your very own tiny tome. Tomes can have jump rings added if you would like to turn your tome into a book themed necklace or brooch. A short fun class aimed at beginners. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. Needle Felting Class York City Centre

Want to learn how to needle-felt? Or want to improve your skills?

Make a small seaside scene in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous.

You will learn the basic needle felting techniques and then create a small landscape to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from.

Beginners welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

8th Oct 2023: 13:00-16:00 £30 a head. Maximum 6 participants. Hot drinks included. Suitable for beginners but some previous craft experience is helpful. All tools and materials provided. Based on a 16th-Century book in the Vatican library, come make your own lay flat sketchbook, using only paper, card, needle, and thread. Along the way learn more about the types of books used by ordinary folk during the later medieval period for accounts, ledgers, and pocket notebooks. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request).
