Want to learn how to ‘paint with wool’?
Create a needle-felted picture in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous (4) Felty and Fabulous | Facebook . You will learn 2D needle felting techniques and produce your very own picture felted onto a piece of vintage blanket. All equipment provided, including a selection of
gorgeous wool colours to choose from. Bring a photo you would like to copy or be inspired by Brenda’s example landscapes.
Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL

Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request). Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors.

You can book the classes above directly from our website, however please note payment isn't taken until the date is confirmed with us, to make sure we can accommodate the required date and time for your event. Dates are secured with a non refundable 50% deposit, the balance is due by the event day, cancellations within your party cannot be refunded within 7 days of the event. If booked within 2 weeks of date of event then full payment is required at the time of booking

    Rob Oldfield is a gilder, typographer and educator, with nearly forty years experience working in museums and historic interiors. He recognizes the importance of crafts like gilding and he has a desire to pass on his knowledge so that it does not become yet another ‘forgotten art’ in an increasingly digital world. Gilding is a decorative technique for applying a very thin coating of metal to solid surfaces. The effect is beautiful and this is a rare opportunity to learn it yourself. Cost is £15 including all materials, equipment and tuition  along with tea, coffee, biscuits.
