    Beginners Candle Making Workshop in Leeds city centre

Ideal for anyone new to candle making.  You can enjoy learning how to make your own soy wax candles and tealights.  Working at a relaxed pace and choosing from various aromas you will make 2 x tin container candles and a set of 6 tealights.  These are yours to keep (once they've cured). Workshops are kept small to allow for individual attention, all materials, equipment and tuition are included in the price. On the day all you need to do is turn up and enjoy. Your tutor is Wendy, owner of York based business PQ Soy Wax Candles.  Wendy has over 13 years experience of making candles and wax melts. After the workshop, Wendy will manage the curing and finishing of your candles which will be ready to collect from Fabrication Leeds 83 Briggate 1 week after the workshop. All the products you'll make are suitable for Vegans. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  The workshops last around 1.5 hours with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits.  Please advise of allergen requirements at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.     Saturday 1st February 10am - 12nooon Want to learn how to needle-felt or to improve your skills? Make a picture of a landscape in this fun and relaxing 2-hour workshop with established textile artist, Brenda Christison, from Felty and Fabulous. Bring along a favourite photo or let your imagination run wild! You will start by sketching your ideas and then learn 2D needle felting techniques to create a picture to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from. Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate YO1 8AS Access: The Fabrication shop has step access from the street.  The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor in a separate room.  Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.

    Sat 15th June 11 - 1pm Sun 21st July 11.30 - 1.30pm £65 per person and your 2 hour session includes:
    • An introduction to terrariums
    • Briefing on choice of materials, terrarium dynamics and aftercare
    • Demonstration and hands on making
    • Take home your creation
